Operations Officer

College Operations offers comprehensive service and support across all Schools within the Colleges, as well as key functions in the academic and research areas. As a dynamic, multiskilled, and digitally proficient team, it provides technical, operational, project, and support services to both academics and researchers. This enables the University to achieve its two core goals, advancing student success and driving research excellence.

As part of the Operations Team supporting the College of Business, the Operations Officer handles College operations functions and provides administrative support that is thorough and effective for research, teaching and workload functions within the College.

Your Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality administrative and operational support across the College of Business, from recruitment and onboarding to purchasing, travel and asset management.
  • Assist with academic and student support activities including workload coordination, results, processing and committee administration.
  • Coordinate events, communications, and engagement activities, ensuring everything turns smoothly from planning to delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to streamline processes and enhance service delivery across the College.
  • Contribute to compliance, reporting, and data management, ensuring accuracy and alignment with University standards.
  • Collaborate across teams to create a positive and efficient work environment that supports both staff and students.

This Fixed Term (18 Months) with potential for an extension | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $71,904 - $88,012 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant work experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in business operational support or office administration.
  • Experience with Canva or other content creation tools is advantageous but not essential.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office
  • Organisational, time and workload management skills
  • Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively.
