Job Description:
Summary: The Tech Services Assistants are responsible for assisting with technology questions and issues for SPA faculty and staff and may assist with setting up presentations and A/V for locally scheduled spaces in Kerwin Hall as assigned.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time
5 - 10 hours per week
Active Federal Work Study award
Salary Range:
$17.95 per hour
Required Education and Experience:
Current American University student in good academic standing
Must have an intermediate knowledge of Windows and/or Mac OS
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience with minor computer hardware repairs preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) is beneficial
Understanding of basic A/V set up (webcam, sound, laptop connection, and troubleshooting) highly desirable
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
All AU students are eligible to apply for this position, with a preference for those students with a Federal Work Study award
