We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Home Installation Services to lead and grow our installation division. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, managing everything from P&L performance to subcontractor relationships and field execution. The Director will oversee kitchen installations, carpentry, and countertops, ensuring projects are completed profitably, safely, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Own full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
Oversee all aspects of installation operations, from scheduling and planning to final delivery.
Build and maintain strong subcontractor and trade relationships; negotiate contracts and enforce performance standards.
Recruit, train, and develop staff, including project managers, supervisors, and installers.
Partner with sales and design teams to ensure installation readiness and customer expectations are met.
Implement processes and tools to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations effectively.
Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, safety standards, and company quality guidelines.
Act as a problem-solver and escalation point for field challenges, keeping projects on track.
Cycle Time: Reduce average project duration and increase on-time completion rates.
Gross Margin: Maintain or exceed target margins across installation projects.
Customer Experience: Improve and sustain high Voice of the Customer (VOC) scores, including post-install satisfaction surveys and repeat/referral business.
Budget & Forecast Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to plan and manage budgets and resources.
Compliance: Maintain full compliance with local building codes and DOL employee/subcontractor guidelines.
Employee Engagement & Retention: Build a stable, skilled workforce with low turnover and strong employee satisfaction.
Subcontractor Performance: Ensure trade partners meet quality, schedule, and cost targets consistently.
Ability to convincingly and inspirationally convey strategy, strategic plans, company goals and company positioning to internal and external audiences.
Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and effectively handle interpersonal relationships with others.
Strong communication skills, including written communication.

8+ years of leadership experience in construction, remodeling, or home improvement installation.
Proven success managing budgets and P&L, with the ability to drive profitability.
Strong understanding of trades and installation practices. (Full Kitchen Remodels experience preferred)
Experience managing subcontractor networks and field crews.
Demonstrated ability to hire, lead, and inspire high-performing teams.
Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
