We have an exciting opportunity for a Pavements Site Engineer in the heavy civil space to join our successful team on the O Mahurangi Penlink Alliance.

Reporting into a Project Engineer, your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with sub-contractors and manage site construction activities is essential. Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing support to the Project Engineers, Structures Manager and the team on the ground
• Ongoing daily interaction with the client and consultants
• The ability to multitask across multiple stages of the project and a variety of contractors at any one time
• Organising and executing technical matters including building to the plans, material requisitioning, plant requirements and safety
• Ensuring quality control
• General site operations and administrative duties
• Communicating technical information effectively between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups

We're looking for someone with:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy civil construction or major infrastructure projects, including at least 3 years as a Civil Engineer. Pavements experience is essential!
• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering (BE, NZCE, or Diploma).
• Ability to plan and develop construction methodologies and works programmes.
• Proven subcontractor management and resource optimisation (materials, plant, labour).
