What's on offer?

We wish to complement our existing team with an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our growing long-term program of works within the Queensland Utilities division. This is a key role within a high performing integrated delivery team, responsible for driving the technical, commercial and construction performance of capital works across the region. In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the engineering delivery for a diverse range of potable water and wastewater supply projects from design through to construction and commissioning
  • Provide technical input and oversight, design management and constructability input across pipelines, pump stations, network upgrades and treatment assets
  • Planning, cost control, risk management and program reporting
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety and quality standards and regulations
  • Driving quality and safety assurance, ensuring work is carried out safely and in compliance with standards and relevant legislation
  • Mentor Site and Project Engineers and contribute to the programs technical capability.

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
  • Extensive experience in delivering water capital works on major infrastructure programs, including trunk mains, pump stations, reservoirs and water treatment plants
  • Strong understanding of Australian standards, Water Authority requirements and relevant codes
  • Demonstrated experience in shutdown planning, tie-ins and live asset works
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants and stakeholders in a collaborative environment
  • Strong people management skills, the ability to develop effective teams and lead from the front (both subcontractors and self-perform staff)
