CFO Advisory Services sits within the Audit & Assurance service line at RSM providing a variety of services from finance transformation and reporting tools implementations to financial reporting and technical accounting advisory for clients across a diverse range of industries.

Senior Consultants in CFO Advisory Services have responsibilities for delivering client projects, developing and coaching team members and working directly with managers and partners in a growing team. The role will involve extensive client contact scoping and delivering projects that require a high level of advisory input and provides an opportunity to expand both your accounting and technology skillsets as they apply to finance functions.

You will work as part of multi disciplinary teams providing finance function and accounting insights including financial and management reporting, audit readiness, finance function assessment, accounting change, accounting policies and procedures, reporting tools and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Work in a team to deliver projects ensuring delivery in line with client expectations, timelines and budget
• Develop self and team through coaching and client experiences contributing to the growth of the wider groups' technical and client interaction capabilities
• Develop project management capabilities, report writing, technology and client relationship skills in delivering projects
• Assist with business development initiatives contributing to thought leadership and proposals
• Assist with co-ordination of the CFO Advisory Services team including but not limited to resourcing and training

About you:

Experience & attributes:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in accounting, commerce or finance
• CA qualified or equivalent (or substantially complete)
• 3 + years experience in either professional services, commerce or mix of both
• Accounting advisory, finance transformation, reporting tools automation, financial reporting, management accounting, project management and/or audit experience
• Good communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Enthusiasm to develop new skills across finance and technology
• Experience in the application of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards and other applicable legislation
• Self motivated, ethical and dependable
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio and reporting tools

Desirable:

• Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle and other ERP experience
• Lease accounting, treasury accounting and exposure to complex accounting topics
