The Role

Our summer student program provides an opportunity to experience real-world challenges, collaborate with diverse teams, network with other students and create a vision for your future career path. This position is working within PETRONAS Canada LNG Ltd. (PCLL). PCLL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS that governs PETRONAS' investment in the LNG Canada Project (where PETRONAS owns a 25% interest). The LNG Canada project involves building a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility (approx. 14 MTPA capacity) in Kitimat, BC. Working with our LNG Development team in Calgary, this will be a full-time student position from May to September 2026. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network. How You Will Contribute

  • Supporting plant and pipeline projects and production monitoring on reporting initiatives by analyzing and improving using tools such as Power BI
  • Assist in compiling and organizing Phase 2 FID documentation for internal reviews and approvals.
  • Cross-reference technical documents to ensure consistency and completeness as part of the overall assurance process.
  • Participate in various projects as required

What You Bring

  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a post-secondary institution in Canada, and must be returning to studies after the work term
  • Enrolled in Bachelor of Science, majoring in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, with superior Excel skills. Knowledge in Power BI is added advantage
  • Strong time and data management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
