We're looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer with a background in the requirements management, design for manufacturing, hardware/software development for hardware test. This is a role for a highly collaborative individual who will help us with optimizing for high volume production and meeting cross discipline requirements. We are looking for an engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively.
Key job responsibilities:
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life: You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved before.
About the team: The Optical Inter-Satellite Link Production team is a multi-disciplinary organization responsible for all aspects of production of the key modules enabling satellite-to-satellite communication. This role is part of Sustaining Engineering Team that we are building to support OISL manufacturing as we scale production. This is the technical arm of this organization, with 20+ engineers from all disciplines collaborating on all aspects of technical development & execution in production.
