The Subsea Engineering team, sitting within the Global Fibre and Subsea (GSF) team, consists of subject matter experts spanning all areas of subsea network engineering and owns the planning, contracting, build, and operation of the AWS subsea backbone globally. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager with proven experience in the subsea telecoms space, a strong sense of ownership, and passion for defining and driving large cross-functional programs. The candidate should be self-driven, have the ability to learn quickly, and influence decision-making across organizations.

In this position, you will work closely with various Amazon business units to gather, refine, and drive program goals. You will have the opportunity to implement new processes and procedures driving continuous improvement while interacting with a broad range of stakeholders across Amazon.

Key job responsibilities include working closely with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to deliver submarine cable projects across the globe. The candidate should be able to represent and lead for Amazon in deployment and operational meetings, coordinate complex projects spanning several geographies, and deliver the project to our high standards. You will have deep knowledge of how to construct subsea amplified fibre-based networks specifically including experience in route survey, route engineering, and marine operations.
