Amazon Aurora DSQL Engineer

Amazon Aurora DSQL is a serverless, distributed SQL database with virtually unlimited scale, highest availability, and zero infrastructure management. As a software development engineer on the Aurora DSQL commit team, you will be working on systems and services that are responsible for DSQL's write path. You will be responsible for building software that is responsible for providing the ACID properties of DSQL at massive scale. You will be responsible for building high performance and reliable systems that operate at massive scale.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Solving challenging technical problems, often ones not solved before, at every layer of the stack.
• Designing, implementing, testing, deploying and maintaining innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
• Building high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
• Researching implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.

A day in the life includes:

• Designing and coding solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software architecture.
• Creating metrics, implementing automation and other improvements, and resolving the root cause of software defects.
• Building high-impact solutions to deliver to our large customer base.
• Participating in design discussions, code review, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Working cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input.
• Working in a startup-like development environment, where you're always working on the most important stuff.
