Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazon's Project Kuiper. Amazon's Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Business Intelligence Engineer who is out of this world excited about technology, data security, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Collaborating with GSC to accomplish building a secure and connected data infrastructure to help meet the data and reporting needs for both external and internal reporting.
• Working closely with internal GSC teams to fit the various needs that reporting infrastructure will need to support across different verticals of the team to be able to build automated and dynamic reports that will support the global team.
• Building and managing GSC's global reporting infrastructure.
• Guiding the team in best practices and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and ongoing maintenance.
• Partnering with various teams to build data pipelines from a wide variety of sources using AWS big data technologies.
• Developing automated solutions to minimize manual processes with focus on efficiency and scalability.
• Clearly communicating deep technical topics to customers.
• Working closely with multiple production teams to understand their challenges and provide data/analysis for better decision making.
• Learning and understanding a broad range of Kuiper's data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
• Understanding and writing high quality queries to retrieve and analyze data (ongoing reporting and adhoc requests).
• Managing the local data infrastructure, and developing scalable solutions for data storage.
• Simplifying and automating reporting solutions.

This position may be based in Bellevue, WA, or Arlington, VA. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.
