AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key Job Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive specifications for protection, automation, control, and monitoring solutions.
• Develop and review protection and control requirements for new and modified substations.
• Develop and review the protection and control requirements Scope of Works for new build substations and modifications to existing.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, including protection line diagrams and relay setting calculations.
• Evaluate and manage specialist consulting services and vendor relationships.
• Support multi-disciplinary project teams in identifying engineering risks and opportunities.
• Work with local utilities to understand and define site specific requirements.
• Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
• Travel to sites for site review and surveys.
• Attend Factory Witness Testing for standard, bespoke and First of Kind Applications.

A Day In The Life

Your day will be a dynamic blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving. You'll transform conceptual designs into comprehensive construction documents, working across multiple geographical regions. From site selection to final commissioning, you'll be the critical link ensuring our data center electrical infrastructure is robust, efficient, and innovative.
