The operational business area is the heart of Amazon. An effectively running operation helps ensure that items are processed and shipped to our customers in a timely manner. As an Operations Supervisor, you will experience how all the different parts of the operation work and contribute to a smooth process. You will act as the first point of contact for team members during their shift and help them follow the processes introduced by your managers. You will gain practical experience and use analytical systems to contribute to the success of our company.

A day in the life:
As an Operations Supervisor, you will work at one of our operational sites. You will support your shift/area manager in carrying out the shift plan. You help prepare shift meetings with your team and monitor procedures and processes. This ensures that safety rules, quality assurance processes, and the day's priorities are followed. Problems you notice are escalated to your manager. Occasionally, you will also act as a shift leader and provide your employees with the necessary guidance to complete their tasks. If necessary, you support your shift/area manager with shift planning and ensure that there are enough team members scheduled during peak times.

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is responsible for delivering millions of our customers' products directly to their doorsteps. The "last-mile logistics" delivers our packages in partnership with third parties and carries out numerous initiatives to continuously improve and satisfy millions of customers. Our goal is to make the delivery experience for our customers as smooth as possible and to introduce global delivery solutions for our latest offerings, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
Our work is divided into two divisions. "Under the Roof" covers everything that happens within our logistics sites and "On the Road" covers everything that happens on the road in the delivery areas. Our employees prepare packages in appropriate shifts (night, early, late) for daily shipment to our delivery teams and handle returns that could not be delivered. Every year, we set new standards in customer experience and offer new innovative delivery services.
