On The Road Manager

The On The Road (OTR) Manager is a pivotal role which maximises OTR operations and experience. Excellent at leveraging operational and stakeholder relationships, they are the custodian of on road experience at station level, creating a 'win-win' culture between Operations and the DSPs. Key job responsibilities include:

• Working with OTR safety and site operations to deliver Regional safety metrics
• Leading OTR performance improvement across the region and providing RLT weekly visibility, including solutions
• Delivering Regional WBR for on-road performance (DSP scorecard / OTR Scorecard)
• Leading improvement activities in key priority areas for the Region
• Creating sustainable business practices that create a 'win-win' culture between Operations and DSPs
• Ensuring a best-in-class dispatch and on road experience at site level
• Being the voice of the DSP within the operational region
• Working with site operations, ACES and CO to ensure routing efficiency and best practice is followed to improve CPP
• Owning, delivering and executing the regional capacity plans and solving as required
• Execution of Peak readiness tasks
• Planning Regional network changes (PCD, mech changes, launches)
• Coordinating OTR ACES and OTR Safety projects across the Region
• Dotted-line leadership of the Regional AMDO and SMDO Community
• Partnering with Senior Regional Manager as key stakeholder

A day in the life The OTR manager defines the medium-term OTR strategy, leading and influencing both internal and external stakeholders. They partner with Senior Regional Managers, supporting the execution of OTR Safety, Capacity, Quality and Experience within that Area. They further partner with Delivery Partner Managers, OTR ACES and Community teams to implement Network wide best practice. The role is field based with regular travel required across up to 6 Last Mile Delivery Stations plus associated nodes.
