The team is seeking a Network Development Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for deployment automation of our Wireless and Access networks. This role is crucial in transforming innovative designs into production-ready implementations that support an ecosystem of robotics, industrial IoT, sensors, drones, and mobile devices. We own the end-to-end process of deploying these networks, from managing vendor relationships and telecom connectivity between sites and AWS, to implementing and scaling new network architectures.

  • Drive quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
  • Measure deployment success rates, defect rates, network capacity utilization, and cycle times for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular technical roadmap reviews and align operational priorities with organizational objectives.
  • Provide mentoring in network engineering, automation development, and software engineering practices.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.

A day in the life:

You'll lead a team of engineers supporting Amazon's global Wireless and Access deployment automation. Your stakeholders include Operations Technology leadership, partner engineering teams, and external vendors. Day-to-day, you'll balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving — unblocking your team, aligning priorities across organizations, and improving deployment automation. Your customers are the operations sites launching worldwide that depend on the ability to deploy new architecture to meet changing customer needs. This role suits someone who thrives leading technical teams through ambiguity at scale.

Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. Benefits can vary by location, the number of regularly scheduled hours you work, length of employment, and job status such as seasonal or temporary employment. The benefits that generally apply to regular, full-time employees include: Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage; Maternity and Parental Leave Options; Paid Time Off (PTO); 401(k) Plan.

If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! At Amazon, we value people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets. If you're passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!
