Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world. Key job responsibilities:

• Leading a team of technicians through satellite integration operations
• Supporting other final assembly and propellent loading activities
• Working closely with other launch operations and satellite manufacturing teams
• Implementing test requirements
• Designing and establishing the payload processing facility satellite integration work cell
• Supporting facility and equipment planning
• Authoring procedures
• Implementing process controls
• Supporting continuous improvement

Operating schedule:

• This is a second shift role.
• This role will support first shift through the end of the 2025 CY before transitioning to second shift.
• Operations will occur primarily on second shift, Monday-Friday but off-shift and weekend work may be required depending on production/launch schedules.
• Must be willing and able to perform extended travel up to 25% annually, either domestically or internationally as business needs demand.

A day in the life:

The satellite integration Manufacturing Engineer will spend the majority of their day on the shop floor leading their team through satellite to dispenser mating operations. They will work with other engineering teams, quality, and manufacturing teams to set up and maintain the satellite integration equipment. They will address root cause of failures and issues, and implement production control and optimization strategies. They will implement engineering best practices in a safe and repeatable manner, implement efficiency improvements and reduce non-conformances. The satellite Manufacturing Engineer will have experience in space hardware integration and test, with particular focus on handling flight hardware or lifting and rigging systems.
