Amazon grows and builds a new location in Ettenheim near Freiburg/Strasbourg! For this, we are looking for a logistics manager/operations manager/production manager or equivalent as an area manager. If you relocate for the position and your home address is at least 80 km away from the location, we support you with a relocation package. The operational business area is the heart of Amazon. This essential part of our company ensures that we efficiently ship orders so that our customers receive their items on time. As an area manager, you will ensure that all processes at your location function as smoothly as possible so that we can meet customer demand. You lead a total team of about 5 to 80 employees (depending on your shift) that ensures the safety, efficiency, and first-class quality of our operations. Additionally, you will manage a range of projects across our entire network to promote productivity. Shift flexibility required: The position is available in day operations (day shift), early shift, late shift, or night shift (with a night shift bonus). The shift will, however, be rotated after a certain period, so availability for all shifts is required.

A day in the life:
You work in a shift operation at one of our locations and ensure that the processes there are as productive as possible. The focus of your work is the management and promotion of a safety culture as well as the maintenance of quality and performance standards of the work shifts. You also supervise process improvements in your area and organize the implementation. A typical working day can look very different and includes routine team management and daily operational tasks as well as process improvement and extensive operational tasks for the eventual case. You also act as a role model and mentor for new managers.
