As the Industrial Engineer for the fulfillment team at Project Kuiper, you will be directly responsible for the solution design and continuous improvement of operational processes and workflows. You'll be the leading technical voice defining the layout of warehousing facilities, ensuring layouts are fit for future scaling as well as optimized around minimum material movement. You will serve as a key orchestrator connecting operations, engineering, and logistical functions to ensure solutions reduce waste, improve yield, and have the practical result of more reliable, cost effective, operational processes.
You will leverage your expertise in industrial engineering and operational research to lead data collection, analysis, and modeling activities for key site level requirements like material flow optimization, labor and capacity planning, end-to-end cycle time assessments, etc. You will leverage a deep understanding of fulfillment/warehousing processes, material flow, and automation technologies to drive efficiencies at scale. You'll be a champion for lean principles and continuous improvement projects, raising the bar on the quality of solutions presented to the operations group.
