Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and technically deep Senior Solutions Architect to join our Global Financial Services (GFS) team. In this role, you will partner with some of the world's largest banking, insurance, and capital markets companies — alongside AWS Sales and cross-functional teams — to design highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures that solve real business problems and accelerate AWS adoption. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior customer stakeholders, helping organizations understand best practices for cloud migration, cloud-native development, and AI adoption. You will also contribute to the broader SA community through mentorship, reusable content, and thought leadership.

This role may require travel of up to 30% to meet with customers and attend industry events. Travel expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
A day in the life:
You will start your day engaging with a global Financial Services customer — perhaps leading a cloud architecture review for a core banking migration or a generative AI proof-of-concept. You'll collaborate with AWS sales, specialist, and product teams to align on strategy and remove technical blockers. In the afternoon, you might contribute to a reference architecture document, mentor a fellow SA, or prepare a talk for an upcoming industry conference. No two days are the same, but every day involves deep technical work, customer impact, and cross-team collaboration.
