Electrical Installation Engineer
Amazon is seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer to drive the successful installation, testing, and deployment of electrical systems for automation and material handling equipment across multiple facilities. This role provides deep electrical engineering expertise, including power distribution, controls integration, and electrical safety compliance. The Electrical Installation Engineer will coordinate across engineering, construction, and operations partners to deliver safe, high-quality installations at scale, ensuring every project meets Amazon's rigorous safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards.
Key job responsibilities:
- Own delivery of complex electrical installation projects with multi-site impact ($10M to $50M scope)
- Provide technical expertise for electrical systems, power distribution, and controls integration

- Follow and help develop electrical standards and best practices compliant with NEC/NFPA
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and operations teams
- Participate in technical reviews and drive electrical engineering excellence
- Oversee electrical contractors and validate installation quality
- Create and review electrical single-line diagrams and construction drawings
- Conduct power studies and load calculations for facility automation systems
- Support achievement of safety, timeline, cost, and quality metrics
- Provide technical input for electrical system design and modifications
- Manage relationships with electrical contractors and equipment vendors
