Cold Storage Inventory Manager

Location: Interceptor Pte. Manzana 013, San Isidro, 54730 Cuautitlán Izcalli, Méx. Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00 hours

The "Cold Storage" program is an initiative in which Amazon works with different suppliers/vendors to store products in external warehouses. This role has the main task of managing and controlling Amazon's inventory from third-party facilities. This role must be able to coordinate tasks with the staff of these external warehouses, as well as carry out receipts, shipments, and cyclical counts of said inventory. The position identifies operational errors and anticipates implications with the information provided. It analyzes to find root causes and helps suppliers and Amazonians to prevent and control the problems detected. Effective communication with suppliers is important, as well as directing escalations when necessary, without neglecting the privacy of the information.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance of a variety of sites assigned to you, propose and implement improvements.
  • Analyze data from different sources, identify relevant data and present it to take actions.
  • Anticipate implications based on data and its trend.
  • Be organized and precise to notify and update any relevant situation.
  • Be the point of contact between internal and external clients, keeping in mind the objectives and limits in the communication according to the privacy of information.
  • Find root causes of operational problems.
  • Create and follow up on operational indicators, generate proposals for new automation methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills, organized and emotional intelligence to deal with a variety of suppliers and internal clients.

A Day in the Life

  • Collaborate with teams across Amazon (e.g., Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Retail, Technology) to define project requirements.
  • Manage project implementation, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Work closely with team members to facilitate vendor adaptation to the network.
