Data Engineer
Amazon is looking for a creative, dynamic, and motivated Data Engineer to join the Trustworthy Shopping Experience (TSE) Operations team. The mission of this team is to protect customer trust on Amazon's stores worldwide by using statistical analysis. The ideal candidate thrives in working with large and complex data warehouse environments and has excellent verbal and written communication skills. The candidate is passionate about working with large data sets and bringing data together to answer business questions and drive change. These analysis and solutions will be fundamental to finding opportunities and creating new programs aimed at helping arrest abusive/bad actors on the Amazon platform faster.
Key job responsibilities:
- Architecture design and implementation of next generation data pipelines and BI solutions
- Manage AWS resources including EC2, RDS, Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, Lambda, Glue, Apache Airflow, etc.
- Build and deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines to support business analyst, data scientists, and customer reporting needs.
- Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
