Data Scientist Opportunity

This is an individual contributor role based in our São Paulo office. We are looking for a dynamic, analytical, innovative, and practice-oriented individual with a steadfast focus on the customer. At Amazon, our goal is to exceed customer expectations, ensuring that their orders are delivered with maximum speed, precision, and cost efficiency. The determination of each package's route is carried out by complex systems, which need to keep up with the rapid growth and complexity of the logistics network in Brazil. In this context, the Supply Chain Optimization team is looking for an experienced data scientist who can develop models, tools, and processes to ensure reliability, agility, cost efficiency, and the best utilization of assets.

The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative skills and experience with complex data sets, capable of identifying trends, innovating processes, and making data-driven decisions, considering the end-to-end supply chain.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Execute continuous improvement projects in the logistics network through effective analysis of performance metrics and key indicators, leveraging international best practices.
  • Develop and unify reports for proactive management of exceptions and logistics operations visibility.
  • Create audit tools and consolidated reports to identify operational bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
  • Automate manual processes and implement self-service tools to increase team productivity.
  • Audit operations, system configurations, and processes through improved analysis mechanisms for better visibility of indicators that impact costs and delivery speed.
  • Conduct international benchmarks to identify best practices in data analysis and advanced processes, adapting them to local operations.
