In pursuing the goal of being the best employer on Earth, our global Human Resources team, known as People andXperience and Technology (PXT), contributes to business success by promoting a safe, inclusive, and innovative culture. The role of Associate Partner represents an entry point into Amazon's Human Resources, focusing on core HR processes and direct support to employees. The Associate Partner ensures exceptional experiences for people by combining human expertise and technological solutions. They manage essential HR transactions while building meaningful relationships with employees in an increasingly digital work environment. This role integrates Amazon's evolving PXT service channels—from AI-powered systems to direct support options—providing personalized assistance and a human touch where it matters most. By balancing technology-assisted processes with meaningful interaction, they help ensure a seamless and consistent PXT experience, in line with Amazon's commitment to being the best employer on Earth. Key responsibilities include processing HR transactions, managing attendance and time-off issues, and providing basic support to employees, escalating complex issues to higher-level personnel. Associate Partners may support multiple sites within their assigned cluster and serve as the primary contact for basic HR inquiries. As an Associate Partner within the One PXT team, you will support the delivery of an excellent employee experience in every interaction. This role requires an approachable presence while ensuring accurate and timely support on benefits, policies, and payroll. You are expected to work on-site at an Amazon operational site.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Providing responsive, friendly, and professional support to employees through various channels (in-person, email, phone), offering accurate and timely information on benefits, policies, payroll, and other HR topics.
  • Ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee data, maintaining and updating records promptly and securely.
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive company culture by supporting and implementing employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Supporting data collection to aid decision-making on attendance, attrition, and engagement or other people-related metrics.
  • Collaborating with managers and support teams to promote and train employees on the use of self-service tools—both AI-driven and traditional—and HR resources, enhancing overall employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Researching solutions and resolving issues using AI as a first enabler, proactively leveraging available resources and internal networks.
  • Preparing and distributing clear and professional internal communications for employees and managers, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and corporate communication tone.
  • Identifying and escalating complex or sensitive issues to appropriate HR managers—such as pay discrepancies, scheduling conflicts, accommodation requests, disability claims, leave-related issues, reports of misconduct, policy violations, legal or worker council matters, and other employee relations issues.

A day in the life involves supporting employees in using HR digital tools and self-service platforms while providing responsive and professional support when needed. You will spend time on the operational floor, guiding employees in the effective use of HR technology, answering questions about policies and programs, and identifying opportunities to improve self-service adoption. Under the guidance of senior colleagues, you will ensure accurate data entry and precise documentation, delivering excellent service that builds trust and credibility. During your workday, you will process HR transactions using various tools and systems, monitor service metrics, and develop your understanding of HR operations. When complex requests arise, you will exercise good judgment to determine appropriate escalation paths and collaborate effectively with senior colleagues for resolution. Success in this role requires a strong service orientation, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Through hands-on experience in this entry-level position, you will develop fundamental HR skills while contributing to positive employee experiences. Amazon Operations is a 24/7 active environment, and shifts may vary based on business needs. For this role, availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and rotating shifts as needed, is required.
