Annual Planning Lead

AWS is seeking an Annual Planning Lead to drive operational excellence for the AWS Specialists and Partners (ASP) organization. This role leads mission-critical annual planning mechanisms including segmentation, territory design, goal setting and cascades, operational planning cycles (OP1/OP2), and resource planning. The Annual Planning Lead translates complex business needs into scalable annual planning mechanisms that support business in a rapidly growing environment.

The Annual Planning Lead develops and implements planning processes, systems, and metrics that increase revenue growth and organizational effectiveness. This role analyzes planning data to identify improvement opportunities and provides forward-looking recommendations to leadership. The position requires managing day-to-day operations through planning process management, performance analysis, technology support, business reviews, and clear communication of insights while building strong stakeholder relationships. This role leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance planning processes and decision-making. The Annual Planning Lead works with ASP leadership and cross-functional teams to implement and optimize AI-driven tools and workflows that improve planning productivity and effectiveness.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Leading annual planning activities which may include segmentation, territory design, and goal/quota setting to support ASP organizational effectiveness and strategic alignment.
• Orchestrating operational planning cycles (OP1/OP2) including timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and deliverable production to ensure timely completion of planning milestones.
• Developing and implementing standardized planning processes, metrics, and KPI definitions while maintaining data quality to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting across annual planning mechanisms.
• Orchestrating AI-human collaboration in planning processes, managing and optimizing AI planning intelligence tools, and implementing automated workflow systems to streamline processes and improve organizational efficiency.
• Conducting planning performance analysis on goal attainment, resource utilization, and process efficiency to identify potential risks and optimization opportunities, and preparing regular business reviews with insights on planning health and operational effectiveness.
• Leading cross-functional projects to improve planning efficiency and processes, partnering with sales operations, central planning, and data teams while serving as primary point of contact to resolve stakeholder planning requests.
• Driving planning tools training and adoption initiatives to improve utilization and productivity, and leading escalations and planning issues to resolution.
