Responsible for complex troubleshooting and maintenance of databases and other mission-critical systems related to Core processing. Leads and coordinates all system updates, testing, new feature rollouts, and identifying new opportunities within the applications to meet Credit Union growth and strategic goals. Applies expertise in Windows and Linux server environments to support IT infrastructure as related to the Core database systems, including DNA UX, CMC, SAF, Application Manager, tMagic and Multipoint systems. Leads the design, setup, maintenance, integration, and optimization of Core processing systems through SQL and Oracle administration. Responsible for the integrity of the Core Databases including oversight of Core system disaster recovery strategy. Maintains the relationship with the Database Administrator by overseeing all user access and integration implementations. Serves as the main point of contact for vendor relationships related to the Core database and ancillary systems, while providing advanced level support for System Support Specialists and Senior System Support Specialist.
Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement information technology solutions which aligns with business needs and objectives
Lead integration efforts while supporting multiple corporate level projects through technical guidance, and design reviews.
Identifies and research resolutions for potential problems in design, quality, or operation and initiates corrective action.
Identifies opportunities to effectively mitigate risk and improve performance and functionality of the Core Processing system, including all ancillary solutions.
Manages complex system configurations through software installation and support, debugging, and supporting users within the organization.
Maintains PCI Compliance within Core systems and workflows including identification and encryption of sensitive data stored within databases
Overlooks and maintains Disaster Recovery plan and setup for the core systems to ensure minimal downtime and a smooth transition during an actual incident.
Works with other business units by researching the Core database capabilities to identify opportunities or potential causes of errors within the Core system environment.
Performs SQL scripting for data mining, building reports, creating formatted data files, and researching data integrity issues.
Continuously analyzes existing processes and provide appropriate design recommendations on improvements
Serves as the subject matter expert for all Core systems and projects related to the core applications
Function as a liaison between various departments throughout the organization to understand workflows, processes, data collection, reporting needs and other technical issues associated with the Core application system.
Provides expert knowledge and support by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving any issues as well as responds to any system outages.
Maintains relationships and open communication with Database Administrator at all times to ensure systems are up-to-date and at peak performance.
Works closely with Database Administrator and software vendors utilized to stay abreast of new product features and changes; confers on implementation of software updates including any customization required.
Maintains integrity of core databases by monitoring, evaluating and resolving user access requests.
Provides mentoring and cross training to the System Support Specialists.
Provides advanced on-call technical assistance 24/7 on a variety of issues involving computer software and hardware troubleshooting, Informs user of system-wide issues and resolutions; documents work performed in helpdesk software.

Education Requirements
4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or closely related field - Required
Experience Requirement
6 Years - Responsible data center operations experience, preferably in a distributed environment similar in size, scope, and complexity to that of the Credit Union. - Required
2 Years - Experience with Oracle, Linux, SQL administration and scripting. - Required
