Design, develop, and validate packaging solutions for industrial products that ensure product protection, cost efficiency, and sustainability. The Packaging Design Engineer is responsible for structural design, material selection (corrugated cardboard, plastics, foams), testing, and documentation, ensuring compliance with international packaging standards (ASTM, ISTA). Acts as the key interface between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and logistics to optimize packaging performance, cost, and environmental impact.
3 – 5 years of experience in packaging design and development, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or consumer goods sectors.
Proven experience in packaging validation testing (ASTM, ISTA).
Experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams for packaging industrialization and optimization.
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Strong knowledge of structural packaging design and material science (corrugated, foam, plastic).
Proficiency in CAD tools for packaging design (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
Familiarity with packaging testing standards (ASTM, ISTA) and sustainability principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cost-conscious decision-making.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
Strong understanding of logistics and manufacturing environments.
Advanced English (oral and written).
