Join Nilfisk as a Logistics Engineer

Help shape the future of our supply chain in our largest production site in Nagykanizsa. You'll turn complex logistics challenges into simple, scalable solutions—designing smarter material flows, optimizing warehouse layouts, and introducing technologies that make a real difference. At Nilfisk, you'll find a culture of trust, freedom, and continuous learning where your ideas matter and your work has visible impact across our global business.

In this role, you will design, optimize, and implement end-to-end logistics systems and processes that enable reliable deliveries, cost efficiency, and best-in-class performance. Your work will power our operational strategy—covering warehouse design, material flow, transportation, and data-driven continuous improvement. The position is based in Nagykanizsa, reporting to Warehouse Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Engineer logistics systems & processes: design, develop, and implement improvements across warehousing, transportation, and internal material flows, using data and best-practice methodologies.
  • Drive optimization & cost efficiency: analyze KPIs and cost drivers to identify bottlenecks and lead initiatives that elevate service levels and performance.
  • Lead logistics projects: plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional projects—from concept through implementation—ensuring timelines, budgets, and benefits are achieved.
  • Advance technology adoption: research, evaluate, and recommend logistics technologies (e.g., SAP modules, WMS/TMS, automation) that enhance scalability and transparency.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration: partner with Purchasing, Production, and other functions to harmonize processes and align stakeholder needs.
  • Manage external partnerships: maintain effective relationships with logistics service providers and suppliers; troubleshoot transportation issues and secure sustainable corrective actions.

Why Join Us

  • Real impact, visible results: your solutions will streamline flows, reduce costs, and improve customer experience across regions.
  • Growth & learning: access to Lean toolkits, certifications, and hands-on project exposure—plus opportunities to broaden into supply chain, operations, or technology tracks.
  • Supportive culture: open feedback, autonomy, and a strong focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

At Nilfisk, we know that amazing people make amazing companies. At Nilfisk, it's OK to make mistakes—as long as you learn from them. We encourage you to question ideas and speak your mind so that together we can find the best solutions. If this resonates with you, we would be excited to hear from you.

Requirements for the role:

  • Education: degree in Engineering—ideally focused on logistics or intralogistics/material flow.
  • Experience: some experience in logistics engineering or intralogistics (warehousing & transportation), including hands-on optimization of material flows and layouts.
  • Methods & tools: extensive experience with Lean/Six Sigma/5S for process optimization; some experience using SAP (and/or WMS/TMS) and creating management reports.
  • Analytics & digital: excellent analytical skills (e.g., Excel/Office; engineering or layout software) to translate data into clear actions.
  • Language: communication-level English
