Guest Services Ski and Ride School Specialist

Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas host lodging, retail outlets, restaurants, bars, and family activities. During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to $19.20+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

The Copper Mountain Guest Services Ski and Ride School Specialist position is a part-time, guest-facing role that blends responsibilities across Guest Services, Ski and Ride School, and Rental Check-In. As an Experience Specialist, you'll be responsible for greeting and assisting a diverse range of guests, ensuring smooth operations at the Ski and Ride School, Guest Services, and Rental desks. This role involves selling and fulfilling various products, including rental equipment and tickets, while also serving as a key information resource for our guests. You'll manage your station daily, maintain cleanliness, and complete any necessary paperwork to support the team and enhance the guest experience. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and basic computer knowledge are beneficial. Candidates should be available to work 2-5 days per week, with shifts primarily in the mornings, and be adaptable throughout the busy winter season. Candidates must be flexible on the days that they are available to work, understanding that our highest volume times are weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Warm Welcomes: Greet and assist guests at the Ski and Ride School, Guest Service, and Rental check-in desks.

Ski & Ride School Lesson Support: Help manage daily operations by welcoming guests of all ages, assisting with their paperwork, and ensuring they get to their lessons on time. Support instructors and the Resort Services Team by handling check-in paperwork efficiently and aiding in any way necessary to progress guests to their lesson.

Sales & Service: Deliver excellent customer service while selling rental equipment, season passes, tickets, and retail items. Promote additional services like ski and ride school programs. Basic knowledge of RTP (Real-Time Processing) may be required for completing sales transactions using the point-of-sale system.

Operational Tasks: Assist with boot fitting, handle data input, and maintain cleanliness and organization in both front and back-of-house areas.

Basic Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to read Copper Mountain literature & forms

Must have the ability to deal with all levels of activity for long periods of time.

Must be able to speak clearly and have adequate hearing ability for conversations in a noisy environment.

Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Minimum 2 years' guest service experience preferred

Proven strong communication and organizational skills required

Computer proficiency required and should include a propensity to learn additional computer systems quickly

Previous Destination Resort experience in a high-volume, customer-oriented environment preferred
