Lift Operations Foreman

Position Summary: Lift Operations Foremen support the Lift Operations leadership team by overseeing the daily operation of assigned lifts and crews. This role ensures safe, efficient, and guest-focused lift operations by providing hands-on supervision, training, and guidance to lift operators. The Foreman acts as a key link between operators and management, assisting with scheduling, troubleshooting, and enforcing safety standards to deliver a smooth mountain experience for all guests.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates teamwork and support for management.
- Monitors lifts and personnel for Tramway compliance- this would include all signage and licensing, normal and evacuation procedures, opening, operating, and closing procedures.
- Assists with maintaining lift manuals and log books and all related documents.
- Participates in all phases of the lift operator's job- helps open, operate and close lifts as needed,
- Very thorough and accurate on all paperwork and office duties as assigned.
- Using a radio to communicate in an effective, professional manner.
- Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate opening and closing needs and special events.
- Assists in maintaining performance of lift personnel in the areas of lift operation and guest relations.
- Leads by example for all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.

This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

Specific Job Skills:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Previous Lift Operations experience is required.
Physical Demands:
- Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling & prolonged standing.
- Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment.
- Concentrated reading and writing.
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Variation in temperature from hot to cold.
- Be able to work on the mountain, which consists of being primarily outside and requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on slippery and/or uneven snow or icy surfaces.
- Must be able to ski or snowboard at an advanced level.
Schedule:
- Non-Peak Days (M-F): 7:15am-4:45pm
- Peak Days (Sa/Sun/Holidays): 6:45am-4:45pm
- This schedule represents an average work week and is subject to change based on guest volume, operational needs, and weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The proposed hiring rate of $22+ actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
- Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Additionally, this position accumulates sick time.
