Job Summary
The Groups Sales Manager position is responsible for sales department activities, including driving sales revenue, managing customer and vendor relations, and related sales performance. This individual will monitor sales in relation to financial goals, prepare and deliver sales materials, and organize and/or attend exhibits and other promotions. Group business is defined as 20+ people.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Foster a positive work environment by motivating sales associates and celebrating team achievements to boost morale.
- Offer guidance and support to help team members overcome challenges, encourage open communication, and promote collaboration.
- Support training for groups coordinator and fellow sales staff and participate in ongoing sessions for existing team members to enhance skills and promote continuous improvement.
- Lead by example in professionalism, integrity, and exceeding customer expectations, setting the standard for the team.
- Develop and execute data driven sales plans to achieve revenue goals and expand the company's customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Prospect new clients, organizations to drive revenue streams through all lines of business.
- Encourage teamwork, inclusivity, and diversity among team members, empowering them to contribute to success.
- Develop collateral to be used in the promotion of group sales at trade shows, events and during fam hosting.
- Working with accommodation, F&B, and activity partners to promote and sell internal products and venues
- Increase the profile of the products and services available for weddings. Both winter and summer weddings.
- Working closely with support and direction to increase overall sales opportunities in resort.
- Work with regional Direct Marketing Companies to establish corporate business and programs.
- Fulfill regional strategic sales objectives and tactical executions for lift, lodging and other revenue products.
- Assist in annual budget planning, monitor expenditure throughout the fiscal year.
- Fulfills stated KPI's, proving ROI with analysis and metrics reporting.
- Analyze the effectiveness of sales programs; recommend and implement changes based on findings.
- Develop, prepare, and deliver sales materials, trade show exhibits, conference appearances, and other promotional programs.
- Plans, communicate and hosts FAM tours - relevant to groups, meetings and incentives organizations.
- Assist with the management relationship with wholesale partners.
- Maintain contracts and relations with major accounts, outlets, wholesalers, vendors, and other business partners.
- Plans regional digital and traditional media campaigns in cooperation with Marketing.
- Provide input from internal department for the collaboration of strategic and tactical planning processes.
Skills Required
- Minimum two years of experience in a sales and service role.
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Strong customer service skills, enthusiastic team building, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical approach to process improvement.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
