Support Worker In Accommodation SIL Houses Service

These positions include both in-home and community support where you'll have the opportunity to directly engage with clients and help them to build independence through working towards individual goals.

The Role:

Support adults living in CPA group homes to lead rich, independent, and empowered lives. This opportunity is to support one of our SIL houses in Wallsend.

Your day-to-day may include:

  • Providing respectful support with personal care, mealtimes, medication, and daily routines
  • Encouraging skill-building, independence, and decision-making
  • Supporting community engagement, social connection, and transport (including use of CPA vans & in your own vehicle)
  • Following person-centred plans with empathy and professionalism
  • Building positive relationships with our clients

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for candidates who embody CPA values, are client-focused in their approach to care, and are passionate about the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of people with disabilities. You'll bring:

  • A can-do attitude and growth mindset — you're open to learning and ready to make a difference
  • Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience preferred, however your passion & enthusiasm is key!
  • NSW Driver's Licence (P2 or above)
  • Physical capability to support clients with mobility or transfers
  • Availability across a variety of shift times, including:
    • Early mornings (6am - 9am)
    • Day shifts (9am - 3/4pm)
    • Afternoons & evenings
    • Awake overnights (10pm-6am)
