Linklaters

A leading multinational law firm offering comprehensive legal services across corporate, finance, and commercial law sectors globally.

Trainee Recruitment Marketing Advisor

Linklaters is a global law firm, with 31 offices in 21 countries worldwide.

Linklaters is a people business. Being best in class in the eyes of our clients means that our people must be exceptional.

We look not only for brilliant minds, but for people who will thrive in our environment: people who love working collaboratively and demonstrate the innovative, efficient, agile, entrepreneurial, and responsible mind-set we aim to bring to every interaction.

Ours is an environment of outperformance. We achieve this not with targets and incentives, but by fostering a positive, supportive, fair, and open atmosphere.

We respect and value difference but insist on inclusivity. We celebrate all aspects of diversity and challenge any form of bias. This is vital to our ability to work as one team, with a common goal.

The Role

Are you passionate about creative marketing and employer branding? Join our dynamic Trainee Recruitment team at Linklaters as a Trainee Recruitment Marketing Advisor. Based in London, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering our marketing strategy to attract the brightest talent for our trainee programmes.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the strategic management of our Milkround, supporting the delivery of around 70 events (virtual and in-person) from September to December, including Vacation Schemes, Training Contracts, Open Days, and diversity initiatives.
  • Driving innovative marketing campaigns and activations to boost our brand recognition and attract high-quality applications.
  • Managing media planning and buying, including drafting communications and identifying the best channels for our message.
  • Overseeing relationships with key agencies and legal advertising providers.
  • Designing and presenting workshops and presentations on campus, and building strong relationships with university stakeholders.
  • Implementing creative competitions to raise brand awareness during peak periods.
  • Managing and training a team of campus Brand Ambassadors.
  • Supporting our social media presence, especially on Instagram and TikTok, to engage with prospective candidates.
  • Collaborating closely with the Trainee Recruitment Manager and wider team on strategic projects.
  • Providing day-to-day line management for the Marketing Coordinator.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to focus on marketing within a legal recruitment context, with the chance to step up and take ownership of creative projects and campaigns.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Creative, with a background in marketing, communications, or event organisation—experience in legal or professional services is a plus.
  • Experienced in social media management and content creation, especially for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
  • Confident in organising and delivering events, both virtually and in-person.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities during busy periods.
  • A strong communicator and presenter, able to engage and inspire candidates and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable managing relationships with agencies, suppliers, and university contacts.
  • Ready to support and develop others, with some experience in line management or mentoring (ideal for a coordinator looking to step up).
  • Enthusiastic about employer branding and keen to drive change and innovation in how we attract future talent.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact on our employer brand and recruitment marketing, we'd love to hear from you.
